UPCI IN PERU
Under the leadership of Bro. Luis Mestanza the church has grown by leaps and bounds. Bro. Mestanza has been the sole pastor for each group. He has traveled many miles in buses from the different parts of the very large city of Trujillo. With 1 million people in its population, Bro. Mestanza has done a great work for the Lord. He, on a regular basis, ministers to the lost and every few years has a seminar to instruct the new coming ministers in Lima, the capital of Peru. There has been over 500 new Pentecostal ministers taught by him and they are now in travel to preach the word of God to the many cities there. Some to mentioned are Moyobamba, Chiclayo, and Otuzco. Baptising in the name of Jesus for the remiision of sins is one event that happens weekly at a river just North of Trujillo. The Pastor and members rent a bus and travel there to see a new convert wash there sins away. (Acts 22:16, Acts 2:38, 1 John 2:12)
OUR CHURCH
The church here is a rapidly growing church and members of all ages are learning of the true word of God. The ministry here teaches of the one true God and Savior, the Almighty Spirit that created man in his own image. The church stands on the Word as the infallable word of God, full of grace and truth. That it is the inspired word of God, where the Spirit of God moved on men of old to write his will, to reconcile man to himself. The faith states that God is a Spirit and we must worship him in Spirit and truth. (John 4:24) And that God was manifested in the flesh as Jesus Christ the Messiah. (1 Tim. 3:16) The salvation plan here is clearly stated in Acts 2:38, Repent, and be Baptized in Jesus name for the remission of sins and receive the Holy Ghost. Also this verse is accompanied by John 3:5. John states that we must be born again of water and spirit or we cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. Stating that we must receive the Holy Ghost to seal us until the day of rapture, where he will quicken our mortal bodies when he calls his people home. (Ephisians 4:30, Romans 8:11) Each person is given the manifestation of the Spirit when they recieve it. (John 3:8, 1 Cor. 12:7)
